I just heard today that actor/voice actor John Vernon passed away last Tuesday.
To millions he'll forever be known as Dean Wormer from the classic film Animal House, but to those of us growing up in the 70's and watching those Marvel Superheroes animated cartoons (that I mentioned a few days ago) he'll always be the voice for Iron Man and Sub-Mariner.
Most recently he was the voice of mob boss Rupert Thorne on the Animated Bat Man series. He had a great dramatic voice that lent itself well as heroes and villains on animated shows.
