Whenever I get a chance to salute a cartoonist on the Birthday of the Day, like this one from a few days ago, I jump at the chance.
This guy's magazine cartoon style helped make his panel unique on the comics page. His creation spawned a TV show and eventually a movie, but it's the old 50's and 60's stuff, when Dennis really was a Menace, is what holds up to this day.

Dennis's dad would have been 85 today.
